Track money in and out
-
TransactionsLog income and spending for each family member, by category.
Filter by month, type, category, member or account, or search by description. Every family starts with ready-made categories such as Salary, Groceries, Housing and Transport. Export the full ledger to CSV whenever you want a copy.
-
BankingEvery account in one view, with a live balance for each.
Keep savings, current, fixed deposit, credit card and cash accounts together. Record deposits, withdrawals, interest and fees, or move money between your own accounts and both sides update at once. Only the last 4 digits of an account number are ever stored, and there is nowhere to enter bank passwords, PINs or OTPs.
-
BillsSee what's due, what's overdue and what's paid.
Add bills and debts with a due date and mark them paid as you go. Reminders appear in the notification bell as a bill comes due, and again if it goes overdue.
-
RecurringSet up salary, rent and subscriptions once.
Choose weekly, every two weeks, monthly, quarterly or yearly, with a fixed or variable amount. Pause an item whenever you need to. DreamFundSL works out when each one is next due.
Plan and save
-
BudgetsSet a limit for each category and see if you're on pace.
The Budget Advisor compares how much you've spent with how much of the month has gone, then projects where you'll finish. For example, 84% of the grocery budget used with 67% of the month passed shows a likely overrun before it happens. Trend comparisons only appear once there is enough history to be meaningful.
-
SavingsGive every goal a target and a date.
Watch each goal fill up, assign goals to family members, and keep a dated record of every contribution.
-
Investment BoxA savings challenge you tick off, note by note.
Set a goal and it's split into a shuffled grid of LKR 100 and LKR 500 notes that add up exactly to the total. Tick each one off as you set that money aside, until the box is full.
-
Emergency FundKnow how many months of essentials you could cover.
Set a target in months of essential expenses (1 to 24, six by default) or type your own amount. Log contributions and withdrawals, and note the reason for each withdrawal. Your status moves from Critical to Building, Healthy and Fully Funded as the balance grows.
See where you stand
-
Financial HealthOne score from 0 to 100, and what to do next.
The score combines five areas: emergency readiness, savings strength, budget control, debt position and cash-flow stability. See what's helping, what's holding you back, and your next three actions in plain terms. Your score history builds up month by month.
-
DashboardStart each visit with this month at a glance.
See income, spending, savings and what's safe to spend, plus cash in hand for each member, savings goals and debt reminders. Quick views of your banking, emergency fund and financial health sit alongside.
-
ReportsMonthly summaries you can print.
An overview and summary for each month, spending trends over time, budget versus actual, and savings progress, with a print-ready view.
Work together
-
FamilyEveryone gets their own sign-in.
The person who creates the account becomes the Admin and adds the rest of the family. Admins manage budgets and members, while everyone can log their own activity. Each person can add a profile picture and see how often they've signed in.
-
NotificationsA bell that tells you what needs attention.
Bills that are due or overdue, budgets you're on pace to exceed, an emergency fund that has become critical, and months when spending has passed income.
-
Google Sheets syncAn optional live copy of your records in Google Sheets.
When it has been set up for your family, every change is copied to a Google Sheet in the background, and the top bar shows when it last synced.
Your family's money stays private
DreamFundSL is built for households, not the public. This is how sign-in and your records are protected.
-
Only your family sees your records
Every request is checked against the family you signed in as, so another family's data can't be reached from your account.
-
Passwords can't be read back
They're stored as salted one-way hashes, never as you typed them, so nobody who runs the app can see them.
-
Guessing gets slowed down
After several wrong passwords, sign-in pauses for 15 minutes.
-
You're signed out when you step away
Sessions end automatically when you're idle and expire after 24 hours. Changing your password signs you out of your other devices.
-
No bank secrets, ever
Only the last 4 digits of an account number are kept. There is nowhere to enter a bank password, PIN or OTP.
-
Strong passwords, without the puzzle
Use at least 8 characters that mix two kinds, such as letters and numbers. Common passwords are turned away.
